Growing and making tea in the Vale of Strathmore in Angus, on the East Coast of Scotland
About Our Tea
Tea Production
We make black, green and white teas at Kinnettles Tea Garden. For the black and green we do a fine pluck, which is two leaves and a bud. We pluck in May and process our leaf in our tea studio using micro machinery.
How to Steep our Tea
Our teas are full leaf. This means after plucking, the leaves are processed and when water is poured on the dry leaf, they unfurl to their original shape. Our beautiful teas are brewed differently to bagged tea. Care with steeping will maximise the enjoyment.
Grown and made by loving hands, in the heart of Scotland
Tea Tours
We do tours every Wednesday from April through until the end of September.
We make our own in house black tea, and green tea available exclusively for tea tastings only. We have a small processing unit with rollers and ovens and if visiting us during the plucking season you are able also to try your hand at plucking tea!
